1. Zoflora EVERYTHING
If you're a massive Hinch fan then you'll probably already know everything about Zofora and if not, say hello to Zoflora. This can be used on just about everything to disinfect items and make every room smell amazing.
2. Get rid of that plug smell
We all know leftover scraps of food go down the plug in the sink when you're washing the dishes, but after a while, it can start to smell. To solve this all you need is some soda crystals, some white vinegar and a kettle of boiling water.
How to clean: Pour half a cup of soda crystals down the plug hole and half a cup of white vinegar and leave for 10 minutes. Then pour boiling water down the plughole as well as a dash of your favourite Zoflora for extra freshness.
3. Pink scrub the oven
Keeping on top of cleaning your oven will save you having to do a big clean when you move out. All you need for this is The Pink Stuff which you can get from the likes of Home Bargains and a Scrub Daddy.
How to clean: Soak the trays in hot water with washing up liquid and scrub. Taking a dollop of The Pink Stuff on a Scrub Daddy, scrub the inside of the oven and glass screen in circular motions and repeat until clean. Remember to rinse it all out at the end.
4. A clean and fresh fridge
Food can leak and go off in the fridge when you live with a number of people so just before you're about to do your monthly food shop whilst the fridge is empty, it's the perfect chance to give it a freshen up.
How to clean: Take out all the trays and door baskets and soak them in boiling water and washing up liquid. Then spray the fridge with Astonish Disinfectant and wipe down with warm water making sure you rinse well.
5. Cif the sink
Mrs Hinch swears by Cif stainless steel spray to clean her sink and just wait until you see her sink on Instagram, you'll have sink envy (if that's even a thing).
How to clean: It's as easy as spraying and wiping it down with the trusted minky cloth - you'll have to get your hands on one of these. If you're cleaning your bathroom sink then she uses Flash bathroom spray, you'll have gleaming sinks in no time.
6. Carpet freshen up
If you want a great smelling carpet or want to freshen up a rug after you've hoovered, then Mrs Hinch has got the thing for you! 1001 is the magic foam that leaves no residue and you don't have to hoover it up afterwards, it's just a case of spray and go, leaving your home with long-lasting fragrance.
7. Blitz the bathroom
Having a perfectly clean bathroom never felt so good. Mrs Hinch uses Cif power & shine multi-purpose wipes to clean her floor, this is quicker than getting out a mop and bucket, plus it takes less time to dry. She sprays Dettol spray on the toilet flush, which she also uses on the kitchen cupboards and all door handles around the house, and to finish off, Harpic active fresh in pine to freshen up the loo. As good as new!
8. Mattress magic
Mattresses can collect a lot of dirt, dead skin cells and odours - grim! So although you can't really stick it in the washing machine and be done with it, Mrs Hinch has a simple way to draw dirt, moisture and odours. All you need is to put bicarbonate of soda in a sieve and sprinkle it over the whole mattress, with a pair of marigolds on, rub it into the problem areas and leave it for a couple of hours or for as long as possible. To finish just vacuum it off and you're done!
9. Spotless windows
It may slip your mind to clean your windows but if you're like Mrs Hinch, you'll want to clean everywhere. Mrs Hinch uses Elbow grease, which you just need to spray on and wipe over with a cloth. You can use Elbow grease on anything, Mrs Hinch also uses it on the top of the toaster, oven and cooker hood.
Cleaning can seem like a lot of effort after a long day at uni, but you'll be surprised how much you can get done in half an hour. Mrs Hinch writes a list of things she wants to clean or jobs around the house to do and will give herself a time limit of half an hour. This can help motivate yourself by testing how much you can get done, you'll be surprised at how fast 30 minutes will go by.
Check out Mrs Hinch's Instagram page where she videos all her cleaning hacks and products. All of the products she uses are usually available at Home Bargains, Poundland, B&M and Amazon.
Why not give it a go and see how much you can do, plus it will make you feel so much better when you can relax in a clean and tidy house.
