Life In London
London's student-friendly bars and clubs
When it comes to bars and clubs, London is overflowing with hubs.
There is an abundance of student-friendly bars and clubs on your doorstep. Whether you are a party animal or just want to go for a drink at your local pub, there is something for everyone. British people tend to spend a large percentage of time socialising in pubs and bars, so give it a try and see how you find it.
Top tip? Check out Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook to see where your fellow students are heading out.
Neon signs? Check. Half-price cocktail pitchers? Check. Basement bar? Check. Students get reduced entry and it's a great opportunity to meet students from all the different universities all over London. Happy hour is from 6.30 - 10.30pm - perfect for after lecture drinks! There is an event on every night, ranging from Wednesday Sports Night to £1 entry Thursday.
CLF Art Cafe (Peckham)
If a dance club isn't really your vibe, then why not try out cocktails and an art exhibition? CLF Art Cafe hosts a range of events with live local DJs and artists. Anything from music, film to food - there's always something new to try here.
Piccadilly Institute (West End)
For those of you that enjoy surprises, this is the one for you. Piccadilly Institute has weird and wild decor, arty cocktails, themed rooms and plenty of surprises. Entry is only £5 if you get there before 9pm Monday to Thursday.
Enjoy two dance floors with bass music and plenty of students. It isn't the cheapest club in London but it really is a great experience!
Student Central (UoL Union)
Your union has three bars: The Venue, Gallery and Library. The drinks are cheap, the music is unbelievably cheesy and it is full of students just like you. Did you know it is the biggest student hub in Europe? That's enough reason to visit alone!
Remember, always drink sensibly and you'll have the BEST time.
