Spending the holidays in halls doesn't mean it has to be lonely. This is a great opportunity to create a day that is uniquely yours, filled with activities you really enjoy.
Here's 6 activities to help you get started...
1. Treat yourself
Had something on your wishlist for a while? Now is the time to get it!
Whether it's eating your favourite meal or buying yourself a small gift, you deserve to spoil yourself sometimes (especially during the festive season).
2. Create your own traditions
Spending Christmas alone means you don't have to stick to a certain schedule or routine, you make the rules.
Start with something new that excites you, things like baking a Christmas treat, writing letters to your future self or creating a vision board.
3. Have a movie marathon
Celebrate the classic way, with all of the best festive movies. Sometimes there's nothing better than staying in your PJs, getting cosy on the sofa and putting on your favourite film.
4. Pamper yourself
Embrace the calmness and take the day to relax and recharge. Put on a facemask, journal, meditate, read and make time for other activities that help you unwind.
5. Go for a walk
Get some crisp fresh air on your face to wake you up or get you out of the flat. Walk your favourite route or go somewhere completely new - just make sure to stay safe while you do.
6. Give back to the community
Volunteer at a local charity or community centre, and help others who need it during the festive season. Many organisations need extra pairs of hands at Christmas, so you could make a difference in helping spread Christmas cheer to others all while lifting your own spirits.
Make the season your own, but if you do need support during this time don't hesitate to access support. We're here for you.
