Whether you’re looking for a wardrobe refresh or need some furniture to fill out your uni living space, there are tons of resale apps out there, and the great thing about these apps is that they let you shop and sell sustainably!

So if you’re not sure where to start or just want to have a browse, here’s a list of some of the best resale apps around:

1. Vinted

Vinted is an online clothing marketplace that lets its users find a new home for their pre-loved clothing. With Vinted you can buy and sell your clothes really easily, and if you do choose to sell your clothes on there an added bonus is that there are no selling fees. 

Selling and buying your clothes this way also means that these items don't end up in landfill sites! 

2. Asos Marketplace

Just like Vinted, Asos Marketplace lets you buy and sell pre-owned clothing, but Asos Marketplace also supports small businesses and independent brands, meaning you can get yourself something brand new whilst you're at it. 3. Too Good to Go

Moving away from the clothes theme, Too Good to Go is a mobile app that allows you to buy unsold food from a range of shops and restaurants for really low prices. App creators say that Too Good to Go is an attempt to tackle the food waste problem, and it does just that.

5. Facebook Marketplace

Facebook marketplace, found on the Facebook app, lets you buy and sell new and used local items right from your phone. You just post a picture of your item, with a small description, then link your location and watch the offers come in! Or, if you're looking to buy, just put down your location and you can see what's available near you.

Facebook Marketplace is best for larger items and furniture so is a great option if you're looking to get some bits for your uni house. 

6. Depop

Finally, no sustainable app list would be complete without a special mention to the reselling app of all reselling apps, Depop. As many of you probably know already, Depop lets its users buy and sell items, whether they are pre-owned, vintage, or brand new. Because Depop hosts so many small sellers, you're again shopping sustainably when you're using the app. 

One thing to remember with Depop is that they do take a small fee if you plan on selling your clothes, but other than that Depop is a great app to use if you're looking to declutter your wardrobe or do some sustainable online shopping.
