A THRIVE Event
Join this fitness class for bodyweight to the beat - you'll be taken through bodyweight exercises (adapted if need be) that are performed to the beat of the music. Feel like you can't keep up? No worries take your time, we'll make it work for you.
Each week's soundtrack has a different theme:
Week One - 90s/2000s Pop Hits
Week Two - 90s/2000s Hip Hop & RnB
Week Three - 2025/6 Tunes
All THRIVE events and activities are set up to align with the PERMA model of positive psychology and are designed to meet at least TWO of the model's five core elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotions; Engagement; Relationships; Meaning; and Accomplishment.
Here's how this activity meets the model:
POSITIVE EMOTIONS
Exercise releases endorphins! I know you've heard that before. But with good music going, community and motivation, we hope you'll leave the class feeling better than before, even if you leave sweatier too.
ENGAGEMENT
As you take on each exercise, you'll focusing on your form and the muscles you're working. This class will give you a chance to get our of your head and into your body, recognising a strength you may not have even know you had.
RELATIONSHIPS
You'll be supported by a passionate personal trainer, while also exercising along side your peers. Nervous about going alone, that's okay, invite a friend! A workout is often better together.
ACCOMPLISHMENT
You'll come out of this class proud of what you've done. And who knows, if you come every week, you may leave in week 3 feeling stronger and more capable than before. But, even one class makes a difference.
The Details
Where? International Hall's Multipurpose/Yoga Room - this isn't your hall? No worry, let reception know you're here for the class.
When? Every Thursday for 3 weeks - class starts at 4:30pm SHARP, so please arrive before then, otherwise you won't be able to join. We recommend you bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothing, suitable for lots of movement.
How? Spaces are limited, so sign up below.
THRIVE events may include photography and filming. If you do not want to be photographed, please let a member of staff know.
