A THRIVE Event
Another THRIVE Lunch Stop Spot for you! Every Thursday lunch time we'll be having a drop-in event in Study @ Bloom, where you'll be able to stop by for a few minutes out of your lunch time for a new event or activity!
This week it's Ghanaian Food Tasting with thanks to Aunty Vic's! Aunty Vic has been cooking for her community for over 25 years - this Black History Month, come and get a taste of authentic Ghanaian food - whether it's cultural food, or something you've never tried before. When you stop by, come and take a zine on where you can learn more about Black History Month in London!
All THRIVE events and activities are set up to align with the PERMA model of positive psychology and are designed to meet at least TWO of the model's five core elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotions; Engagement; Relationships; Meaning; and Accomplishment.
Here's how this activity meets the model:
POSITIVE EMOTIONS
Good food can equal a good mood! Well made food, that's seasoned to perfection and tastes good, genuinely can make you feel joy. When you come along, don't just pick up the food and good, take a moment to look at smell it, and savour it. Engage with your eating and let your senses make the most of it. You'll feel better for it.
RELATIONSHIPS
Have a chat with the Aunty Vic's team and those around you. Food and stories are meant to be shared, so why not get to know a few people as you come for the food tasting. As much as this is a chance to try some food, this is also a chance to meet people and have a chat.
