A THRIVE Event
Say a very satisfied hello to the return of one of last term's most popular THRIVE Lunch Stop Spots! Every Thursday lunch time we'll be having a drop-in event in Study @ Bloom, where you'll be able to stop by for a few minutes out of your lunch time for a new event or activity!
Once again, we'll be joined by The Pamper Company to provide staff and students with 10 minute massages. We expect a queue, so have a chat and grab a free tea/coffee/hot chocolate while you wait. We expect this to be popular, so please arrive as soon as you can and be patient.
All THRIVE events and activities are set up to align with the PERMA model of positive psychology and are designed to meet at least TWO of the model's five core elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotions; Engagement; Relationships; Meaning; and Accomplishment.
Here's how this activity meets the model:
POSITIVE EMOTION
When we the last time you had a massage? The last time you took a moment to relax? Nothing feels quite as good as relieving that tension in your shoulders. Let a professional take the reigns, take a deep breath, let the stress go.
ENGAGEMENT
This is a moment to connect with your body, with where it feels sore and ignored. As you're getting your massage, we want to you to consider the needs you've perhaps been dismissing as "unimportant". As you relax, consider where you've been holding stress, while also allowing yourself to let go and enjoy the 10 minute massage.
The Details
