FREE University Clothes Swap and Mending Station

Many of us love fashion, but it can have a huge impact on the environment and the people who make our clothes.

The University of London & UCL will be collaborating to bring you regular Clothes Swaps, free of charge, throughout the year, for the benefit of all students within the University of London federation. We are now requiring proof of student/staff ID status by ID.

How it works:

Bring Your Preloved Clothing: Dig out those items you've outgrown or no longer wear and bring them along. Maximum 8 items. The quality should be decent, staff/volunteers have the right to refuse items.

Browse and Select: Find something you like? It's yours to take home!

Loyalty Card: Didn’t find your perfect item this time? No worries! Grab a loyalty card, which gives you the chance to return to a future event and find something new. Our inventory is always changing, so there’s always a chance for a great find.

🪡 Clothing Mending Station 🧵: There will also be a 1:1 Clothing Mending Station happening in the same room from 12:30-16:30, with 10-minute slots to sit down with an experienced mender and learn how to fix an item of clothing!
