The spring season is finally here - you know what that means? It's reset time! Let's all reset and refresh together and make sure we're taking care of ourselves:
1. Set your intentions for Spring 🌷
With the start of the new season also comes a new mindset. Spring is the season for growth, fresh starts and new beginnings. Take some time to figure yourself out this season, write some intentions - what do you want to change, what do you want to start doing more, what habits do you want to get rid of or better at? Write them down and put them somewhere you'll see them daily.
2. Clear your mind and space 🧠
Get rid of the noise by clearing your mind and tidying your space. Start things like journaling your thoughts, brain dumps, unfollowing people on social media that don't benefit you anymore, etc. This can benefit your mental well-being so much. As for clearing your space, declutter your bedroom, wardrobe, living room and bathroom. Get rid of things that no longer serve a purpose. Not into those fairy lights you got 3 years ago? Donate it. Hate that jumper you bought because it was trendy, but you haven't worn it since. Sell it.
3. Deep clean 🧽
This doesn't have to be done in one day. Clean your space, one room a day if you'd like. It can really help focus on what needs extra attention in one space. Dust, vacuum, mop, scrub, wash the sheets, etc. Get the space looking brand new. Not only will it improve the way your flat/house/halls look, but your mood will also immediately be boosted. Going into a new season with a clean slate is always a good feeling.
4. Refresh your space 🌸
Now it's time for the fun part! This doesn't necessarily mean buying new things (but that can also be fun), it could mean rearranging a room, switching the duvet and pillow covers or bringing your spring clothes to the front of the wardrobe. One habit that's quite light and cheap is buying fresh flowers for the week; it can help with refreshing your space.
5. Hang out outside ☀️
With the weather warming up, spend some more time outside, either alone or with friends. Plan a day to go outside (even restrict your screen time whilst you're out), and go for a hike, a day at the beach, or have a picnic at the park. You'll have been waiting for the sun to come out, so take advantage of it and go get some vitamin D!
