Introducing THRIVE

Skills for Success, Resilience, and Wellbeing

THRIVE is a new pilot programme from the University of London running from October to December 2025, with an intensive development phase during August and September and promotion beginning mid-to-late September.

Are you a student in London? Answer just 3 quick questions to help us shape THRIVE so it delivers exactly what students like you need! It will take less than 2 minutes.

This initiative will offer structured, evidence-informed activities that support personal growth, wellbeing, and resilience among students and staff. Unlike traditional wellbeing services that focus on mental health difficulties, THRIVE takes a proactive, skills-based approach. It centres on developing confidence, emotional regulation, mindfulness, effective communication, and more – through workshops, physical and mindfulness sessions, and short development programmes aligned with the PERMA model of positive psychology.

Whether you're looking to manage stress, overcome procrastination, build better relationships, or cultivate mindfulness, there will be something in THRIVE for you. Sessions will include one-offs, informal drop-ins, and structured short courses (usually 3–8 weeks), with in-person, digital, and recorded options for accessibility and flexibility.

THRIVE won't be a counselling or clinical service – it will be a space for development, learning, and personal flourishing. It will be open to all students and staff at the University of London, with a focus on inclusive engagement for those who may face additional barriers, including LGBTQ+ communities, disabled people, neurodivergent individuals, care-experienced students, and minoritised ethnic groups.

This pilot phase and evaluation will help us shape the future of THRIVE – please get involved and help it grow.

More information and session details will be shared from mid-September.
