Clearing is here, but what does that mean?
If a student isn't accepted by their first-choice university, they can use Clearing to explore other options.
What happens if I come through Clearing?
If you receive a clearing offer, you'll be told how to add the Clearing choice in your UCAS Hub as well as any deadlines that may occur. Students who come through Clearing receive the same teaching, support and degree as other students, and the university will also hold back accommodation to ensure you have a place in halls.
How do I apply for Clearing?
✅ Check UCAS: Ensure you are eligible for Clearing by checking your UCAS Hub. You enter Clearing automatically if you don't hold any offers, but you can also release yourself into Clearing using the 'decline my place' button.
✅ Contact Universities Directly: Before adding a Clearing choice in the UCAS Hub, you must contact UOL institutions directly via their Clearing hotline or online platforms to receive an informal verbal or written offer.
✅ Add Your Choice: Once a UOL institution confirms they will accept you, add the course to your UCAS Hub to finalise the process.
Specific courses and availability depend on the individual institutions within the UOL federation
Each college handles its own Clearing process:
For any queries regarding Clearing, please check the specific institution sites.
