It's ok to feel stressed sometimes

Hear from four Edinburgh students on their experiences

Student life isn’t always the best time of your life. In fact, it can be one of the most overwhelming. Four students at Edinburgh discussed the pressures of life at university, often far away from home, friends and family. Stay connected to what feels true to you, whether people you love, or activities you enjoy, they say. And always ask for help – there are others out there who feel just the same.

If you're living in our intercollegiate halls, your Hall Warden and their team of Resident Advisors are available to talk through any worries or concerns you might have.

You will be assigned a personal tutor at your college, and it's ok to talk to them about anything that's worrying you. You can also speak with your GP (doctor), the counselling or student support service at your college, your students' union welfare officer, or call a phone line like Samaritans (freecall 116123 from any phone) or London Nightline (call 020 7631 0101).

If you're looking for professional help with something specific, you could also search Hub of Hope - available online or as an iOS app / Android app.
