Everything you need to know about living in Nutford House

Situated a short walk from Marble Arch (Oxford Street), Nutford House is located in a beautiful red-brick period building on Brow Street. It offers accommodation to over 140 students in mostly catered single rooms with shared bathrooms. Students can experience the buzz of life in the heart of central London with Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace. You'll also be able to enjoy Nutford's own private garden, which is fantastic for relaxing, socialising and studying during warm spring days.

Each single shared bathroom includes:

  • Single bed (90cm x 190cm) with comfortable mattress
  • Dedicated study area with a spacious desk, chair and lamp
  • Built-in pinboard
  • Wardrobe, drawers and shelving for storage
  • Window curtains

On average, a bathroom cubicle is shared between 4 people, and there are multiple cubicles per bathroom, so you should never find yourself waiting.

Nutford House offers a range of shared facilities, including:

  • Central dining hall serving breakfast and dinner daily, with brunch available on most weekends.
  • Communal pantries equipped with a microwave, kettle and communal refrigerator for preparing light snacks and hot drinks
  • Dedicated laundry room with washing machines, tumble dryers, irons and ironing boards

Residents also have access to a variety of shared spaces to relax, socialise and study, including:

  • Common room with comfortable seating and a communal TV
  • Games room with a pool table
  • Private garden

Frequently Asked Quesitions

Your room includes a mattress and a mattress protector, but you will need to provide your own bedding, including:

  • Duvet
  • Pillows
  • Bed sheets
  • Pillowcases

If you are travelling light or arriving from overseas, you can order a bedding pack online before your arrival and have it delivered directly to Nutford House.

As Nutford House is a catered residence, you will not need extensive cooking equipment such as pots and pans. Breakfast and dinner are served every weekday, with brunch available on most weekends.

  • Request a packed meal if you are unable to attend breakfast or dinner because of academic commitments

Yes, Nutford House has an on-site laundry room equipped with washing machines, tumble dryers, irons and ironing boards.


Current prices are:

  • Cost per wash: £2.50
  • Cost per dry: £1.50

Nutford House provides high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building via Glide Resident.


Before connecting, you will need to create a Glide account through the Glide Sign-Up portal using your preferred username and password.

  • Find Connection guidance

Letters and small mail items are delivered to your secure mailbox near the main reception area.


Larger parcels are accepted by the reception team on your behalf and securely logged into the parcel management system.


You will receive an automated email from the Hall Team when your parcel is ready for collection. Parcels can be collected from the 24-hour reception desk by presenting your student ID card.
