Your Voice, Our Action

How we acted on your feedback in our last survey

Earlier this year, we asked you to share what it’s really like living in Intercollegiate Halls. We wanted to hear what’s working well, what could be better, and what you’d like to see change.

Since then, we’ve been reviewing your feedback hall by hall and taking action. Some changes have already happened, while others are underway and will take a little more time.

Here are some of the key headlines. If you'd like to see what you asked for and our action for each hall of residence, click on your hall below.

You said you appreciated the helpfulness of our staff

We continue to provide support through Residence Management, Reception, Security, Catering and Resident Advisors, ensuring residents know where to go for assistance.

You asked for better food quality, more variety, suitable portions and balanced meals

From repairs regular catering reviews to themed evening menus, we're making sure one of the most important parts of living in Halls is guided by student feedback.

You said you were unsure what support is available to you

In your welcome book, we have made it clear who each of the teams are, what support is available, and what the teams are trained in. We also have Resident Advisors located in the lobby daily every evening for 1 hour to support you.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share feedback. Your comments help us understand where we need to improve and where changes can make the biggest difference to day-to-day life in halls.

This is only part of the picture, and work is still ongoing. In mid-April 2027, we’ll also be launching our end-of-year survey, so keep an eye out for your chance to have your say again and enter the prize draw of up to £300.
