Students at International Hall are being invited to share feedback on their meals as part of a new project exploring food waste in halls.
The project is being run by Mateusz, Student Sustainability Ambassador for International Hall, and aims to better understand why plate waste happens. Your feedback could help identify whether things like portion sizes, food choices, taste or quality are contributing to food being left uneaten.
How to take part
All you need to do is complete the feedback forms above after your meal. Each daily response counts as one entry into the prize draw.
The more often you share feedback, the more entries you’ll receive.
You could win a £10 gift card
Everyone who completes the form will be automatically entered into a random prize draw to win one of 20 £10 gift cards.
The winners will be selected on 1 June using a random number generator and contacted shortly after.
Gift cards will be either Love2Shop, which can be used at a wide range of retailers, or Amazon.
Why your feedback matters
Food waste is a big issue in halls and has a real environmental impact. When food is thrown away, it also wastes the energy, water and resources used to grow, transport, cook and serve it.
By reviewing your meal, you can help International Hall gather useful insights into what students enjoy, what could be improved and how food waste could be reduced in the future.
So, next time you eat at International Hall, take a moment to review your meal. Your feedback could help make a real difference to food waste in halls.
