A THRIVE Event

Another THRIVE Lunch Stop Spot for you! Every Thursday lunch time we'll be having a drop-in event in Study @ Bloom, where you'll be able to stop by for a few minutes out of your lunch time for a new event or activity!

This week it's Plant Based Food Tasting with thanks to Aya & Suki! Aya and Suki is a queer, woman-owned vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Broadway Market. They use Eastern Mediterranean flavours combined with plant-based ingredients to create delicious food that's full of character.

All THRIVE events and activities are set up to align with the PERMA model of positive psychology and are designed to meet at least TWO of the model's five core elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotions; Engagement; Relationships; Meaning; and Accomplishment.

Here's how this activity meets the model:

POSITIVE EMOTIONS

Good food can equal a good mood! Well made food, that's seasoned to perfection and tastes good, genuinely can make you feel joy. When you come along, don't just pick up the food and good, take a moment to look at smell it, and savour it. Engage with your eating and let your senses make the most of it. You'll feel better for it.

RELATIONSHIPS

This is a chance to sit down and share food with a friend or peer. You may start by talking about the food, but then find yourself with more to talk about! Why not sit together, have a chat and treat it like a dining experience here at Senate House. We hope you'll come away with not just satisfied taste buds but with some satisfying socialisation too.
