Having friends or family over is part of student life, but there are a few rules to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

Signing guests in

All visitors need to be signed in at reception. You’ll need to collect them yourself and stay with them the whole time they’re in halls. Staff can refuse entry if there are concerns, so make sure your guest brings ID just in case.

Overnight guests

You can have one overnight guest at a time, for up to 10 nights a month. Guests under 18 can’t stay overnight, but they’re welcome to visit during the day if they’re with a parent or guardian.

Guest behaviour

Your guest has to follow the same rules as you do. No loud noise, no damage, no causing problems. If the person/people you've invited over do something wrong, you will be held responsible.

Numbers and limits

You can sign in up to three day guests at once between 7am and 11pm. If you want to arrange anything bigger or need an exception, email your Warden at least 48 hours before.

These rules aren’t here to spoil your fun. They’re there to make sure everyone feels safe and can enjoy living in halls. Stick to them and you’ll have no problem bringing mates over.
