Why E-waste?

Electronic waste (aka e-waste) is the fastest growing type of waste in the world. Did you know the UK is the second largest producer of e-waste per person? Electronics contain valuable, increasingly rare or sometimes harmful materials like gold, cobalt or heavy metals that often get binned instead of recycled.

Why take part?

You will have a chance to shape your own ideas for raising awareness and communicating the issue, work with other students from across disciplines, and develop your employability skills in a challenge-based setting.

Where will the Hackathon take place, and when?

The Hackathon will be held at Kings College London in the James Clerk Maxwell Building, SE1 8WA on Wednesday the 27th November, from 11:00 to 17:00.
