Updates from your hall feedback

At Handel Mansions, residents told us they wanted clearer information, better support visibility, improvements to rooms, and more opportunities to relax and connect with others. Your feedback has helped us focus on the changes that could make the biggest difference to your experience in hall.

Here’s a look at some of the actions being taken in response.

You said: A shared social space to relax and meet others

Our action: A proposal for a common space

A proposal for a shared common space is being prepared for senior staff, with the aim of creating a place where residents can relax and spend time together.

You said: Clearer information about UUK accreditation

Our action: A plain-English explanation for residents

Residents will be sent a plain-English explanation of what UUK Code of Practice accreditation means and what standards they are entitled to expect.

You said: Fresher, better-equipped rooms

Our action: A review of bedroom condition and priorities

A review of bedroom condition is now underway, with improvements being prioritised based on what will have the biggest impact on day-to-day comfort.

You said: More clarity on who to contact for support

Our action: Updated signage and simpler guidance

We have introduced a Warden’s Team Sunday coffee morning session, where you have the opportunity to speak with the Warden about any concerns. RAs are available every evening and at weekends. Signage and communications around in-house support are being updated.

Thank you to everyone at Handel Mansions who took the time to share feedback. Your comments are helping guide both practical improvements and clearer communication for residents.

Some changes are already underway, while others are still being developed, and your feedback will continue to shape that work.
